Guanyin Puss (2024)

"Guanyin Puss", a play on words of Guanyin Pusa (观音菩萨), is depicted as a feline form of the boddhisatva of compassion and mercy in Zen Buddhism. The words "Amituofo" (阿弥陀佛) are inscripted in the top right, a Chinese transliteration of the Sanskrit word "Amitabha", which directly translates to immeasurable light and immeasurable life. "Amituofo" is often spoken as a greeting to wish others inner peace and joy.
